San Francisco’s youngest children deserve timely access to the developmental support they need — yet too many families are navigating a fragmented system without a map. Families often don’t know what services exist, how to get referred, or what child care options can meet their child’s specific needs. In some cases, delays are so severe that children age out of eligibility before ever receiving services.
The Early Intervention workgroup brings together families, professionals and early childhood education sites to focus on helping the system coordinate more effectively to make sure young children have the supports and services they need.
